The announcement of the election day draws nigh, and it could be a matter of days before the bells and the trumpets shall be heard across the nation, heralding that the time is at hand. Will it be the 'Third Term' for the Laborites or 'Time Come', for the Comrades?
The PNP has spent nearly 10 years focusing on Andrew Holness and his big house, and also his unexplained wealth. The JLP has sent a message to the nation about their achievements. Which one will the nation buy into?
Mark Golding, who the Labourites call Markie 'British' Golding, has done a great job in garnering support for his party. He is the head of a party that had the slogan 'Black man time,' and now the party is led by a white man.
It is clear to me that Jamaicans have not been moved by the corruption and illicit enrichment tags that have dogged the JLP leader.
Jamaicans are looking at what some say is the better of two evils. One Labourite said that even if Andrew did some bad things, the country has progressed significantly. I knew that the corruption and illicit campaign strategy would not work because over the years, this country has seen numerous alleged instances of corruption. Corruption is deep in the psyche and the culture of the people. A holy party has not been formed as yet. Probably Rev. Al Miller is trying to form that party.
In a few days, my prediction is that there will be a massive meeting in Halfway Tree where the earth-shattering announcement will be made. We will be happy for the day. The idea of a fixed election date will only be supported by the opposition party until it becomes the government.
Who will win the next election? I believe the Third Termers are ahead, but the Time Commers are not far behind. This election will go down in history as one of the most peaceful elections in the history of Jamaica. My prediction is that the Time Commers will have a new head because there is a faction in the PNP that is ready to take over Norman Manley's party.

I am amazed at how many a ordinary people believe the corrupt image of the PM also called "Craven A" being portrayed by the PNP.
