BREAKING NEWS - PM Holness Announces Date for National Elections

The JLP had its meeting in Halfway Tree, the main aim being to announce nomination day and the day for general elections. Today, Sunday, August 10, 2025, Jamaicans heard the date for the next general election.

It was a meeting mixed with live and recorded music with speeches from some of the leaders outlining the work of the JLP in government. The Prime Minister also gave an indication of things that his government will do in the third term. He promised to have the party's manifesto distributed soon.

Nomination day will be on Monday, August 18, 2025, and the National Elections will be held on Wednesday, September 3, 2025.

Remember to add your comments. Supporter Mendez, a Bark Di Trute supporter who guessed the election date to be September 2, 2025, came the closest to the announced date.
