Vernon Derby Has Medical Challenges!

To My Readers and Supporters,

I have decided to post this information about my health because I have to reduce my level of work. I have continued to maintain Bark Di Trute, be on air, and also help others, even when I was experiencing intense pain continuously for one month. The bad news is I have now been diagnosed with an aggressive form of prostate cancer.

This diagnosis means a medical operation is needed soon. With your support and help, and with the blessing of God, I shall return to do what I enjoy doing. That is publishing my blog, broadcasting, and helping others. I will need blood, moral, and financial support. My medical expenses will be in the region of JAD3 million.

You can communicate with me directly by WhatsApp at 876 816-5261.

Men, please remember to check with your doctor annually. The early detection of prostate cancer can make a big difference.

    2. The PNP wants the maroons in our parliament. With the maroons having their own closed system of government, will persons who are not maroons be able to sit in their parliament?

    3. I am the descendant of the Maroon. I have never lived in Accomong but my grandfather was a herbalist living outside of Accompong. If I was smart enough to learn from him I would be in a position to help my batchmate Vernon. Watch your mouth you do not know who we are and where we are???

There are more of us outside than inside. How do you identify us?

  3. Beloved friend, I've been low key for a while. I'm glad I checked in just now. Vernon, thank you for sharing. I prefer knowing what a gwan with those I care about than hearing by the way.
I admire your willingness to be open and vulnerable while at the same time advocating.
In illness ( not sickness - cos you not sick) and in health you continue to advocate and educate.
Please keep us posted and I note the number you've listed.
With every good wish, love and prayers.

  4. Oh no. I wish you a speedy recovery. Can I suggest that you incorporate a non-traditional medicine approach to your health care. Pomegranates, soursop, cruciferous vegetables, and fermented foods (with no added sugar) are excellent. Berries are also beneficial, dark chocolate with 70 % or more cocoa, as well as nuts and seeds. Consume fruits whole, do not blend to make a smoothie as this will cause sugar to reach your blood in less time.

Remove sugar and processed foods from your diet if you consume these. Add herbs as a tea using things like frankincense, oregano, saffron ginger, turmeric (with black pepper), garlic, parsley, rosemary and green tea. Aim to have one of these teas twice per day with no sugar.

    1. You sound like a nutritionist. Yes, I changed my diet over five years ago, and it has worked for my other challenges. Definitely no sugar. I have moved from 230 lbs to between 179 lbs and 185 lbs. Plenty of turmeric, garlic, and ginger in my diet. Thanks.

  16. You might not have been in this position had you responded to me on WhatsApp sooner. Let me enlighten you on the knowledge I have and the options you get from Drs re surgery, chemo, radiation etc. Cancer is a tumor that sets in when your immune system is in bad shape. When you have surgery and Drs cut you to go remove the tumor, when air hits the cancer cells it spreads the cancer to other areas of the body - liver, kidneys etc. Then they will start you on chemo and/or radiation and sure, they will burn the cancer cells but guess what, do you think chemo and radiation can differentiate between the good cells and the bad cells? No. So what happens is it burns the good cells as well as the bad cells and thus break down your immune system. And that's the killer. The Bible tells you God provides the plants and herbs for the healing of the nation. What you can do is order a product called ESSIAC from Amazon. Preferably the liquid and start taking it immediately. In the meantime do not put anything in your body if it's not plant based. Even the oil you cook with - coconut or olive oil. NOT VEGETABLE OIL. There is no real vegetable in it. It's synthetic. Cut out all red meat unless the animal is grass fed and I doubt you can get that in Jamaica. Fish, fish, fish but not Tilapia. Cut out ALL SWEETS. Sweeten with honey. If you can get the guinea hen weed and moringa use to boil tea. Google Dr RENEE CAISSE. That's Essiac spelt backwards. She is the nurse who developed the practice when she had breat cancer. It's made from 4 roots available right here in Jamaica. You can Google DR WILLIAM DEICHMANN CANCER RESEARCH. I worked with him at the University of Miami and at the Haskell laboratory back in the 80s and 90s. Good luck.
