Poor Customer Service At Shoppers Fair Supermarket

The top management needs to take a look at the operations of Shoppers Fair on Washington Boulevard in Kingston. The level of customer service at this supermarket needs to be improved. Some staff members make an effort to give good customer service, but the general customer service at this business place is very poor.

I have been trying to get the loyalty card problem fixed. They changed the card, but a minus loyalty point figure was still being reflected on the card.

Tonight I went to the manager, who was looking very relaxed in the office, to advise him that there was a problem with my loyalty card. He responded by saying that I must be specific. I told him that I could not be more specific because I do not operate the system, and I could not say what problem the system was having with the card.

He became very impatient with me, and he just ignored me. He did not even look at the card. A thoughtful cashier who was off duty offered to assist me. She took the card from me and she came back and told me that the card was now showing a positive amount of over JAD200 dollars. Based on the amount of funds I have spent at the supermarket over the past two years or more, since the card was reported, I came to the conclusion that something had gone awry, which resulted in me losing my points.

Thanks to that sweet cashier who assisted me. She should probably be managing the supermarket and not that crude manager who was busy in his office relaxing. The level of customer service across the country is abysmally low. The PSOJ needs to have a campaign to improve customer service in the country.

Classifying Vehicles on the Toll Road

I received the following report from a motorist:

"Good day, Mr. Vernon. Can you find out how the vehicles are classified on Highway 2000. I have a small 2004 Mitsubishi Canter motor truck, and I am paying class 3. This truck is small in size to a full truck or a tractor trailer.  Please can you treat it as urgent."

I received this response from the toll operator's customer service

"Good Afternoon

Please notify the customer that he may contact us at 8884295674 in order to check on the class of his vehicle as well as a make a report for an investigation be done if he believes his vehicle is being classed incorrectly."

  2. On the Highways tolls are charged based on where base height.
If I have the same vehicle with a 17 tyre and rims then you have 14 rims you will pay less.

  3. The (lack of) customer service thing is as ubiquitous as potholes and trash on the streets. It's kinda not even fair to name and shame bug companies coz everybody seems invested in being rude

  4. It doesn't make any sense complain bad customer service anymore because no one cares, they turn it around on you as if you're the problem 😉
