The great breaking news for Bark Di Trute this evening is that the police are dealing with the case of a man who was seen mercilessly beating a woman with a machete.
Thanks to my supporters for keeping us abreast of the situation and for ensuring that justice is done. I have been reliably informed that the accused person is from Allsides in Trelawny. The Ulster Spring police are dealing with this matter.
Jamaican's have shown strong interest in this matter, and we expect the police to keep us abreast of their investigations, which should lead to the case being built to ensure that the woman gets justice in our courts.
Not only should the accused be charged, but the victim should be able to sue for damages to the tune of about JAD100,000. All the man's assets should be used to compensate her, and he should be forced to work and give her compensation for over 15 years. We need to send a strong message to all that Jamaica will not tolerate violence of any kind. This man did what he did because he feels he has the right to mete out his own justice, and the state cannot do a thing about it.
Such a violent person should not have children in his care. I also believe the time has come when the people should be able to search an online database and see if persons have been charged and committed for dangerous crimes.
Please continue to stand up against dangerous individuals and capture videos of their cruel actions. Send these videos via WhatsApp at 876 816-5261. Share this post with children and adults who are being abused. They must be encouraged to stand up and report these incidents.
