Press Release From The EOJ, September 7:
Up to 4:00 p.m. on Sunday, September 7, the final count for the September 3, 2025 General Election was completed in 62 of 63 constituencies.
The counting of ballots continues in St. Mary South Eastern with approximately 13 percent of ballot boxes remaining. The count is being conducted by the Returning Officer in the presence of the candidates and/or their representatives.
The final count is complete for all three electoral divisions in the Local Government by-elections. The results remain the same with the Jamaica Labour Party (JLP) candidates gaining the majority of votes in all divisions.
The Electoral Office of Jamaica continues to appeal to the public for patience as the final constituency completes its count.
Editor's Note
The divisions that had by-elections on September 3 were Chancery Hall, Olympic Gardens, Seivwright Gardens, and Denham Town.
