Heavy Showers In Kingston This Afternoon

Red Hills Road.

It's a Friday, September 19, 2023, and it's a race against time to get things done before the heavy flow of traffic on our streets in Kingston. Once again, I was at the hospital doing another test, which I hope is the last one before Dr Roy McGregor is ready for my operation.

Test after test after test. Blood test, biopsy, MRI, bone scan, X-ray, and two ultrasounds. Let me remind you that getting ill is not a lovely thing these days. Make sure that you own the bank before getting sick.

Today I bumped into Taurus Riley, whom I met years ago when I was involved in the Tastee Talent Competition. That competition did quite a bit for youngsters who were looking for that big break in entertainment. I also met Taurus Riley's beautiful wife. They have been together for many years and have produced three children. That was a welcome break from thinking about my health issues.

After leaving the hospital, I noticed that the sky was not its usual bright-looking self. It was dark, and the heavens were grumbling like a miserable old man. There was a streak of lightning that flashed the sky, followed by the rumbling sounds of thunder. This was followed by many more.

I made the bad decision to head home immediately. The moment I turned onto Kingsway Avenue in front of Andrews Memorial Hospital, the heavens opened up and, in full force, poured showers of blessing.

It was now bumper-to-bumper traffic, and the rain pelted on the roofs of the cars as drivers forced their way through the water. Some even driving on the sidewalk on Red Hills Road. Driving Red Hills Road was like trying to climb over the Niagara Falls. Red Hills Road was now Red Hills River.

I eventually reached home, only to find out that it was NWC -No Water Coming. It is clear that the rains have a hatred for the catchment areas. One thing I am sure of is the birth of many potholes on the streets of Kingston.

Let's pray for showers of blessings tomorrow and the days after. I hope that the catchment area gets some blessing.

Tomorrow, I don't intend to go anywhere because I expect potholes to be all over the place, and I will not be the first to christen them and damage my vehicle. The National Wuless Agency team should be out there first.

Be careful on the roads at this time. This weather condition might continue until tomorrow.

There should be plenty of showers on the South Coast at this time. Please send me pictures and videos of the flooding and damage done at 876 816-5261. Caption the pictures and state the exact location.

Any truth in those allegations and how about being a CHINA OVERSEAS TERRITORY (COT) don't sleep on this one as they even learn how to strike for more pay.

    NI HAO PENYOU, ZAIJIAN.
MANDARIN TO BE INTRODUCED IN SCHOOLS ALL.
English and Mandarin should be made compulsory Maas V.
Tell the Minister of Education that Mandarin +English = 50% of the languages spoken on planet earth =4billion.
That's economically strategic as China is a fast rising World power having a foothold in USA backyard.
