What the hell is happening? We must bring back the death penalty. Can you imagine? A disabled teenage boy was reportedly killed and four others injured in a drive-by shooting along Text Lane in the vicinity of Charles Street in Kingston. This happened on Tuesday night.

I agree with using Bring back hanging wrong doers getting away too easy ..What's going all of a sudden the crime up again some senseless killing .Lord have mercy on our country.
ReplyDeleteNothing is wrong with the death penalty, but strengthen the judicial system and prpoer investigation first, to make sure that the right person is hanged for their crime.
ReplyDeleteForgive me if I'm off with this, but ever since the election victory of Bruce Golding, I've noticed that after a JLP victory crime goes up. Just check the murder rate for the 1st year after those elections. I've heard others speculate too - wondering whether they're politically motivated to make the newly elected government look bad. I really hope I'm wrong and that it's just coincidence.

ReplyDeleteI remember that after Bruce Golding ended the JLP drought, murders in the country got so bad that a Gleaner headlined screamed "Do Something". I recall that from every quarters, people were saying that something needed to be done. I also recall Mr. Golding saying, in response, that the police deals with operational matters and the government's role was to implement policies.
DeleteWithout concrete evidence , we have to careful about suggesting that the uptick in the violence is politically motivated !
