Hurricane Melissa Update.

Message from supporters

Hi Mr. Derby good afternoon. Please get some attention on this dire situation. This is in Whithorn Westmoreland. Residents are trapped in, without food or water. The community is Shewsbury Logwood, Whitborn in Westmoreland.

 **************
Good morning, Mr Darby. Hope all is well with you. Can NWC give a timeline as to when Cassia Park Road will be receiving water?

 **************

We are having low voltage in St. Catherine Estate. We have to plug out our appliance. Tell JPS we need their help now!

 **************

Hi Vernon. This is the Springfield Moravian Church, where I attended church. My grandparents and my father are buried in the church cemetery.

I learned to read and write at Sunday school there. My grandfather was my Sunday school teacher.

NWC

It is interesting to note that although Kingston and St. Andrew were not directly hit by the hurricane, a few areas have been without water for about a week now. Queensborough is one such area. Some areas in Kingston have no electricity. It is a crisis for many residents in some areas.

Death Toll

It is expected that the death toll caused by Category 5 Hurricane Melissa could reach 25.
