Good afternoon Mr Darby. RE post No 0164492 UlsterSpring Dist.Trelawny.I do hope you are doing very well and I thank you for the good work you are doing. A friend asked me to speak to you on an issue about a faulty light Post at my gate since 2014 causing damages to the Stantion to my house and again a possible threat of tumbling down and even worse serious problems. Due to the tensión from the wire on the post leading to the house. This has been going on since 2014 I have written 4 letters to JPS Mandeville.Visited the office to speak about the issue 5 occasions. On 1 occasion to the Falmouth Office. I HAVE WRITTEN to the Member of Parliament Mrs Dalrymple Philibert in July 2025. I went to a Town Hall Meeting along with Mayor Collin Gager and spoke to Miss Karen. Brown from JPS in April 2025
And all I got were promises and not a word from the M.P to this moment. Mr Hugh Kenneth Grant JP for Albert Town is aware of this situation and he made several calls as soon as September 2025 but to no avail. The Councillor Pauline Foster Grant took pictures of the post to Mandeville and have the matter reported in Sept 2025 and no word or reply on the issue. Men from JPS who came from time to time to fix the fuse that shattered every two weeks. Are. . Also not happy about the tensión on this wire. Can I tell you Mr Darby this huge concrete post is held up with one small brace on the brink of a stream causing the post to be shifting away.In 2024 it broke the Stantion from my house and I have to fo a new one to my expence.I now fear the worse will happen Everybody talked about this Post so lean and threatening.At 73 years old living alone I can't build again. So I would love this corrected before it gets any worse. Thank you for responding.

The challenge I surmise is that JPS workers are more like contractors not regular employees like in the past.There isn't a plethora of skilled Personnel in the colonies/parishes like around Kingston home of the administrative officers.

This light post is a literal threat to this home owner. She is afraid to go to bed at nights because she doesn't know when an electrical fire will start due to the tension in the wires.
