The Most Honourable Dr. Andrew Holness, PC, MP, Addresses The Nation
I saw hurricane trouble early in the day, and I must admit we have had enough time to take action. The hurricane season is annual, so we cannot say storms and hurricanes come up on us like thieves in the night. When I saw the information about Invest 98L online, I said, "Here comes trouble." It grabbed my eye on October 18, 2025. It is not just about the government not being ready, but it is also about all of us who are not ready. We have not pruned our trees; we throw garbage any and everywhere, including in the gullies. Houses are built on the gully banks, and I am concerned that Melissa might move those houses and take some lives with her also. We discard waste, which sometimes ends up clogging our sinkholes. We have no respect for the environment.
We have created an environment which will ensure that if we have even a little breeze blow, dawg nyam wi supper!
