St. Catherine North Police Division Is Standing Tall And They Are Proud

This afternoon I got hold of a statement made by St. Catherine North Police Division's Head, Hopeton Nicholson. See the statement below:

Team St Catherine North is presently on TOP. I applaud the hardworking men and women of the St Catherine North Police Division for their selfless service to the citizens of St. Catherine North and, by extension, Jamaica.  Your hard work, professionalism, and sacrifices have borne good fruits. It is a good time to be in the JCF. I can say without any doubt that it is a great time to be a part of the St Catherine North Police family.

As the divisional commander, I am extremely proud of the TOP performance of the members in the Police Civilian Oversight Authority (PCOA) awards ceremony. We are also very proud of the students from schools within St. Catherine North, who participated in the PCOA poster competition. First place and second place are envied positions. St. Catherine North copped those two positions, and so we salute the students who were on TOP.

For the PCOA top station in Area 5: Browns Hall Police on TOP! 

For the top Prisoner in Custody Station: Spanish Town station on TOP! 

For the People's Choice Award: Guanaboa Vale station on TOP!

For the PCOA Legacy Award: Guanaboa Vale station on TOP!

On Wednesday, December 17, 2025, Corporal Shantel Powell from the St Catherine North Police Division and Area 5, copped the prestigious 2025 JCF/Lasco Top Cop award.  Again,  St Catherine North Police Division is on TOP!

We thank our various stakeholders who continue to support us. Special thanks to the Area 5 Headquarters for quality leadership and continuous support. A heartfelt gratitude to every member of the St Catherine North Police Division for your tireless efforts. Every member should be proud, Area 5 is proud, and we also make the JCF proud. We, the members of St Catherine North, are on TOP! We are indeed a force for good!
