Accidents Are So Frequent They Have Become Incidents

Driving on our roads in Jamaica probably ranks as one of the worst experiences in the world. Accidents are frequent, and I believe we should now call them incidents and not accidents. Our leaders need to understand that the ticketing system is not working. There is the challenge of poor roads, and the need for more appropriate signs and markings.

The system of fines has just become another form of taxation, and the road incidents and fatalities continue to escalate. Taxation for the government and a few others.

Let's open up this discussion with the nation and get the people's ideas and support. We can solve this challenge.

Today, there was another accident in Ocho Rios, but we are not aware of any fatalities.

Thanks to JC for this report.
