I have just been informed that two people have been killed in Harbour View. This is at Bayshore Park. The police need to make basic information public about such cases. The first information I got was that the incident took place in Port Antonio.
Apologize to my readers who are fed up with these reports of killing.
Many things can be done to reduce the murders, especially domestic murders. People in communities must report conflicts between couples early. Social workers should move in immediately to deal with the challenge. Recently, there was a murder and suicide case in Harbour View involving a couple!
Where the home is no longer a home but a war zone, we should remove the children from the environment. At the first sign of violence, the police should take on the case and have the courts give an order to remove the aggressor from the home. The penalty for breaching such a court order should be at least 5 years in prison at hard labour.
Families cannot sit down while couples are having problems and declare, ‘A no mi business.’ When the autoclaps come, you will all be bawling down the place, declaring how this person was such a wonderful person.
