Gem Myers is one of Jamaica's most talented performers and singers. I often wondered why and how it is that she has not made it big in the world.
Is Fab 5 holding her back, or is it that she has no superstar ambitions? Again, FAB 5 is perhaps one of the world's most competent and talented reggae bands. Perhaps even more versatile than the Third World band or any other you may mention.
FAB 5 with Gem Myres is really the Jamaica National Band. No one can dispute that. These members can read and write music, unlike most Deejays people call musicians who make lots of entertaining noise. Some promote Nasty Mouthism and decadent, uncivilized murder music.
Gem Myres and Fab 5 Frankie; Grub Cooper (No longer a member.), are among the builders of a stable, long-lasting, and prolific Jamaica National Band.
You can bank on Jamaica's national band, FAB5, for excellent music and world-class performances.
