I made this video showing men wanted by the police. I had some challenges using information from the JCF website. In one case, the name on the picture is differed from the name in the text below it. The text should also state the correct name, then say "also known as," and list the aliases. These pictures must be circulated to everyone in Jamaica so we know who these wanted men are.
I am very concerned about the quality of the pictures. That is why it is important for the government that NIDS have a recent picture for all citizens. We should also have the DNA for all persons who have committed violent crimes and sexual crimes.
If these men do not turn themselves in in about three months, if they get into a confrontation with the police and lose their lives, INDECOM should not have any work to do. These men should be treated as national terrorists after a certain time has elapsed. You know what happens to terrorists! Such terrorists should get no special treatment under the law. No plea bargain, for example.
Please circulate this video so the whole of Jamaica can know these fugitives.

Great ideas and commets eg re: designation as terrorists. Accuracy is critical. Years ago we were held up at gun point, shots fired tho no one hurt. Items stolen recovered. We attended 11 court(s) appearances. Eventually case thrown out because no ID parade was held. The police must get it right
ReplyDeleteThanks to Commissioner Kevin Blake for his quick response.
ReplyDeleteThe problem lies with the system and the laws in place. Is there a law that states once you know you're wanted then you have 14 days, etc to turn yourself in and failure to do so will result in additional charges and access to certain privileges will be removed?
ReplyDeleteIn many jurisdictions they focus on laws concerning the population and not the wanted men, like fines and prison time for harboring a fugutive. It is also important to emsure the information on these wanted persons are accurate. If unsure, remove it. A photograph is useful, but not necessary. Pay attention to the other details. The police has many times endangered persons by publishing the wrong information. Check, verify, and double check the information. When in dlubt, leave it out.
Now NIDS. People believe NIDS is for the betterment of the people. It is not. I have been tracking this for decades. The various countries as they tried to implement it. The push back from the public, etc. The countries that implemented it, and had to later withdraw it. It's a web, people are easily entangled with. In the news, there has been calls from a certain country to others countries that have flat out refused the I. D system (it goes by many names). Countries such as Cuba and Zimbabwe. After Cuba refused, a new round of tightening the rope commenced. Looking to see what is on the horizon for Zimbabwe. What is frightening though, is that people still believe its about them and improving their country. That part, is indeed sad.
