I am shocked that the central bank representatives are telling us that if funds are missing from your bank account, you should make a complaint to the bank and wait a number of days for a response. This is like someone who has your money and has told you that someone has taken the funds from them, so they will carry out an investigation and send you comments.
Money removed from your account is fraud, and it is a police matter. The Bank of Jamaica must be concerned about what is happening in the banking sector and the financial sector, generally. I get the feeling that no one seems to care.
You wait until you have the SSL experience, and then all you hear is weeping and wailing and gnashing of teeth, which cannot bring back your money. The banks are now telling us that losses in your account beyond a certain time are not recoverable. Absolutely rubbish. The funds could have been missing for one hundred years; the bank has a responsibility to investigate the matter. Many are now thinking about what is happening. Is it all a part of an inside job?
I have two cases that I am assisting two poor businesspeople to deal with, and all they are getting is a runaround. Things are now computerized, so why does it take so long to carry out these investigations? Is this a part of frustrating the customer? Whatever the role of the central bank, if people lose confidence in the financial system and there is a run on the commercial banks, the central bank could be in trouble.
We have been SSLed, OLINTed, FINSACTed, we have moved from CASH PLUS to CASH MINUS, and now they want to BANK-RUPT us. Where are the oversight bodies, the Minister of Finance and the Public Service, and the police? Of course, the people are fast asleep.

Please share this blog with as many people as possible so that more Jamaicans can become aware of what is happening.

I know of someone who sold his land in Ocho Rios to send his two sons to University overseas pulled the funds from a bank and “invested” it with Cash Plus well he only got a month interest though he was assured his funds were safe. The poor thing has never gotten over it and guess what he was a single parent and despite all info was provided as they requested no contact was made to attend court during the final wrapping up phase. He has never gotten over the loss of his hard earned funds and the sacrifice he made as a single parent to purchase that lot!! Praying those demons rot in hell I don’t know how those demons sleep at nights!!
ReplyDeleteThat is why when I was on the radio, I spent my time informing the people about these things. I now used my blog to share information, but how many pay attention or even share this blog?
