This is another evening to rejoice after working with some Scotia Bank consumers to get back funds that miraculously disappeared from their bank accounts.
A few weeks ago, I assisted one customer in getting back nearly eighty thousand dollars, and today, the other customer advised me that she got back her over two hundred thousand dollars.
To our leaders in the banking sector, don't jump to blame customers when things go wrong. Far more can be done to secure the people's funds. I have made many suggestions over the years. I appeal to media houses to take up this challenge of customers losing funds from their bank accounts. Let me encourage the leadership of the banks to inform and educate their customers how they can help to protect their accounts.
Many of those who work in the banks are from poor working-class families. You have a responsibility to protect these people, especially when they are not computer literate. Don't just throw the books at them when things go wrong.
