A US fighter jet was shot down over Iran a short while ago.
The question is will the war end in just a few weeks? The fact that Iran was able to shoot down a fighter jet could mean that Iran has far more hidden missiles.
If the Straits of Hormuz remain closed, then the demand for oil will outstrip the supply significantly. Jamaicans' only choice will be to conserve on fuel and electricity.
Even if the war ends now, there is no guarantee that Iran will allow free access via the Hormuz Strait. This will have a significant impact on Jamaica's cost of living, going up. The cost of the war will be significant for the world, and it will be interesting to see what the rest of the world will do to reduce the effects. The conflict is no longer just a US war but a world war!
If the war ends now, what message would that send to Iran, Hezbollah, the Houthis, and others? If Iran can control the world economies by controlling the Strait of Hormuz, then I foresee trouble ahead.

ReplyDeleteIran did not start this war! Iran was in dialogue with the super powers and yet they still started the war, they must pay the price for the war. Israel must be made to pay for the devastation it has unleashed on Gaza, Lebanon and Iran.
