No Water Coming - NWC
Mr Derby. Again good day. The Santa Cruz and it's environ have been out of water from last September. I have te t you before on this. Hearing pump problem. To buy water it is very costly plus we have to buy these black drum and plummer has to be in the mix. I am wondering g if the water commission people have trucks.to be transporting. So much water for people and business places. We are suffering with this huge e sense.Santa Cruz Road Being Fixed
Mr Derɓy good morning. The condition of the Santa Cruz road complained about last week. About Ash Wednesday some work is being done where cutting out the areas in squares and putting marl. They should follow up right after with asphalt. It's left with the marl then the vehicle pass over it blow it out and the rain, no sense in that, it's going back to square one. Tax payers money is being wasted. Also, the road work on the pipe line from Gutters to Goshen need to be finished. The drivers have to be bobbing around these mashed up areas with near misses of accident. It is bad man.This has been going on for about 2- 3 years.
MP needs to ball out for the motorists on this. I hate to drive on these roads.

Gutters To Mandeville Road Being Fixed
Mr. Derby,
Good morning. The roads I complained about Gutters to Mandeville it is being worked on. I went on an errand to SpurTree couple nights ago with my heart
in my mouth and was plesantly surprised re the patching. It is a big difference when driving. The fear I had re these roads when driving it diminished the other night. So much better and this is the way the roads all over aught to be. There are some bad spots at Pepper to Santa Cruz that need to be addressed urgently.

As a country and a people are we developing or are we regressing?
ReplyDeleteThe simple operation of the maintenance of our immediate environment is and has always been a humongous challenge. WHY?! We have so many unemployed persons why don’t we have ‘Beautification Teams’ dispersed working at night clearing the verges of main thoroughfares. That is a simple fix! The schoolers from Mona High, for example, who traverse the Mona Main have no sidewalk on which to safely walk, the bush is so overgrown that the sidewalk is invisible, does anyone even care?
We proudly speak about our achievements in Tourism boasting of the X number of visitors to the island! Is any Jamaican proud to invite guests into a filthy home? NO!
Our country gets a 2 out of 10 for cleanliness, there is NO street or lane in any major town that we can feel proud or comfortable about, not Main Street, King Street, HWT Square, Knutsford Boulevard, Tom Redcam, Heroes Circle, Windward Road . . . None!!
Do our MPs travel on these roads? Do they even care? Has Dr. Holiness, Mr. Bartlett or Mr. McKenzie seen the deplorable physical condition of our/their streets etc., they themselves need to take pride in their environment.
Forgive me if I’m incorrect but is there ONE constituency that can proudly say ‘our constituency is environmentally conscious, clean and welcoming’? No!
We need to set and maintain the environmental standards we want in our communities and our citizens will fall in line or be fined!
We must TAKE PRIDE IN OUR COUNTRY environmentally!
