Bark Di Trute supporter and friend Ionie Ramsay sent me an intriguing note about the EPASS, which is issued by the Jamaica North South Highway Company. It seems as if the card is made of a self-destructing material. My understanding is that when the EPASS card self-destructs, the customer bears the cost of the card replacement.
This is what Ionie Ramsay reported:

This card is the second replacement I have received in less than three years. When the first one disintegrated, I was sent to the office to pay for the replacement. I was also instructed not to leave it in the sun, which I never did thereafter
Now this one is falling apart. I went back to the office and showed it to the receptionist. Her response was, “Call the office and report it."
I told her that I have been calling with no response from the office.
The long and short of my disappointment and frustration is that we have on sale a proven INFERIOR product
The one from its inception was permanently placed on my front windscreen
Something MUST be done to stop this formal scamming scheme.
Thank you for intervening on my behalf
