This Nastiness Must Stop

One of the indications of effective governance is the extent to which we can maintain law and order. In the above picture, taken by a motorist just able to catch someone throwing a coconut on the sidewalk in downtown Kingston. We need to have a few courtesy officers armed with their cameras to capture these antisocial acts and ensure that persons are ticketed and pay for their nasty deeds.

I would love the Transport Authority and the NSWMA to send a notice to this driver about what was reported. The law should state that all motor vehicles should have garbage bags.

Click the bar below to listen to the motorist making the report. Thanks to this motorist who wants a cleaner city.

  1. This might be a stretch. Where exactly would the bins go in ppvs? Besides most of them already have no eating signs in their vehicles , why should they pay for the disregard of their passengers. This will now introduce roaches and rodents as illegal passengers for some of the drivers who are not as clean and who wont empty the bins regularly. Passengers are not living in these vehicles, surely they can discard of the garbage at a later time. The government could also consider creating more garbage bins, the metal kind, closer to the taxi park areas and areas prone to large gatherings.

    1. I find it difficult that you support what you have written. Even a full car can accommodate a garbage bags. You don’t leave garbage in the bags overnight to attract roaches. It is not difficult to be clean.
