Fear Of Artificial Intelligence Going Rogue

The debate about AI concerns and regulations is no "Rocket Science" as to the solution.

If AI is confined to computer applications and specifically built robotics constructed to implement specific tasks, then there is no chance of the technology colluding or ever developing the ability to endanger human existence.

If humanoid and autonomous physical objects are not built, then there can be no physical ability to navigate space.

Why are we always bent on taking things to extremes? Why are we creating our own rivals? Then we fear the "Frankenstein" we have created.

I have heard of the possibility of exoskeletons that can be retrofitted to enhance human ability and performance. Why not focus on such applications?
