Fire At Spanish Town JUTC Depot

I just got a report from a Bark Di Trute supporter that there was a fire at the Spanish Town JUTC bus depot yesterday. I have not seen a report on this matter from the Jamaica Fire Brigade Service nor the JUTC management. The bus seemed to have been completely destroyed by the fire.

Was the bus engine left running? Did the driver notice any indication of overheating on the bus? Is there a risk of fire using these LNG buses? Were there any fire extinguishers nearby or on the bus? Was there a fire hydrant nearby or other equipment that could be used to control the fire until the Jamaica Fire Brigade Service trucks arrived?

We have to be transparent in these matters because this bus was a part of the public transportation system. Passengers need to be aware of the risks of travelling on these buses.

  1. Don't rule out extortion do you recall how ,why and who killed Douglas CHAMBERS.
The depot is in Clansman territory.
A thorough transparent investigation needs to done of that fire.
Bus fuel source needs to be standardized diesel, gas or electric.
    LNG I would put aside.

  3. This is very serious, there is so many things running 🏃through my mind right now. However; am very happy to know that there was no life lost. Thanks be to God. Can the authorities at JUTC try to put in measures that this never happened again? Just imagine they are carrying their normal duties and this happened while passengers were on board. Am sure if you do not have the person to carry out proper rescue operation. It would be pandemonium on that JUTC bus. This is civilised time now. We need to be doing a whole lot better, than what we are doing. How much for one of these Buses, about $1.5 million.
