A Sigh of Relief - Missing Girl Found

It is confirmed that Ria Mauragh is no longer missing. I have been reliably informed that she is now at a police station.

I don't think we will hear more about this case. There is far more to this matter of the teenager who was missing.

The police should seek the assistance of other government entities because it is very unusual for this teenager to be missing and to turn up somewhere else.

If she were at a location, was she being held against her will? Was she being protected by someone, and if so, did the person protecting her call the police to inform them that a minor was at their place? The police will be asking these questions.

Advanced Technology In The Public Health Sector

Press Release From The Southern Regional Authority - June 19, 2025

Clients have been embracing advanced laparoscopic surgeries provided by the Mandeville Regional Hospital in Manchester, as the hospital steadily becomes a leader in public laparoscopic surgeries in Jamaica.

Performing some 200 laparoscopic surgeries yearly, the hospital is most likely performing the most laparoscopic surgeries in the public sector.

Senior Registrar and General/Laparoscopic Surgeon at the hospital, Dr. Ashok Kotagiri explained that laparoscopic surgery, or minimally invasive surgery, is a modern technique in which operations in the abdomen are performed through small incisions, rather than the larger incisions needed in open surgery. This provides the patients with increased benefits such as shorter hospital stays and quicker recovery time.

“Our patients like laparoscopic surgeries, they always find out about them from their relatives overseas and they sometimes come and ask us if we can clients include: ventral and inguinal hernia repairs, colon resections, hysterectomies and ovarian cystecomies.

He added that some of the other surgeries that the team provided before include: laparoscopic cholecystectomy, laparoscopic appendectomy, diaphragmatic repair, hernia repair, diagnostic laparoscopy, bilateral tubal ligation, ovarian cystectomy, diagnostic laparoscopy and peritoneal stripping, nasal polypectomy, laparoscopic hysterectomy, ovarian cystectomy, and endoscopic sinus surgery.

cancers also. Our team is very excited to be able to offer laparoscopic surgeries to our patients and they are very thankful to us and when they get better we feel happy. The urology team will also start performing laparoscopic surgeries soon” Dr. Kotagiri said.

The hospital team along with surgeons and nurses from the Jamaica Awareness Association of California performed 12 laparoscopic surgeries at a surgical mission at the hospital from June 10 to 13.

For Regional Director of the Southern Regional Health Authority, which administrates the hospital, Mr. Michael Bent, he is happy with the team’s constant drive to offer efficient and cutting-edge services to clients.

“This is another display of the commitment of the team to maximize on the use of technology and the skill set of our team members to improve the services we offer. Most of our hospitals are offering laparoscopic surgeries and it is a delight to see that our patients are embracing this technology” Mr. Bent said.

Never a Dull Moment in Jamaica

When The Woman Refused To Shake the PM's Hands

This woman refuses to shake the PM's hand.

The PM visited an area, and a lady made a report to him about a local matter. The PM thanked her for the information and offered to shake her hand. The comrade lady decked out in her orange outfit refused to shake the PM's hand. She did not budge even when nudged to do so by Damian Crawford.

The PM is not unfamiliar with not wanting to shake hands. Some might wonder why the woman refused to shake the Prime Minister's hand. Probably the lady did not want to catch labouritis after a warm handshake from the PM. 😀😀😀😀

Finger-Licking Chicken Could Mean More Votes

Chaos ruled at KFC outlets today, June 19, 2025, as Jamaicans stormed the KFC outlets, formed long lines, and fought to get ahead in the line for their Finger-Licking Kentucky Chicken. While they savoured the flavour of the chicken boiled in oil, others looked on and were disgusted at their depraved behaviour.

I believe that any politician who can give each voter a box of chicken on election day, those voters will lick their fingers and mark their X's for that politician. The politician would get Finger-Licking Support at the polls.

I did not know that there were so many hungry belly people in Jamaica. One man declared that Kentucky Fried Chicken is the national dish.

Dem sey if yu wan ketch fowl fi kill dem, jus throw some corn gi dem. It seems all the people need is some Kentucky chicken. The company did what they had to do and KFC made national news. The value of the chicken given away must be a fraction of the cost of the media time the company got today. This media attention could continue for the rest of the week. They are even getting attention from Bark Di Trute.

The Governor General should declare today Kentucky Fried Chicken Finger-Licking Day.

Thanks to Miss Fisher and Mass Sonny, mi madda and my father, because dem train mi fi no nyamy nyamy nor lickie lickie. You would not ketch mi a rub-up rub-up fi one box of chicken and end up a smell like chicken.

What a life. What a country. Donald Trump would be pleased to see how we love his Kentucky Fried Chicken. Yes, our national dish. What a pappy show!

This TVJ story, which will form a part of our history, will be embarrassing to future Jamaicans who will see their foreparents fighting over Kentucky Fried Chicken. We should never forget how Jamaicans behaved when a container with chicken fell off a ship and ended up on the shore. Like the birds that fly very high up, people swooped down on the container and relieved it of its contents in a few minutes.

What's Happening - June 17, 2025

Bad Driving on Our Roads

The bad driving continues, the accidents on our roads continue, and we continue to collect millions for speeding on our roads. The bad driving incurs higher penalties, and higher penalties mean more revenue for the coffers, and the deaths continue. Dr. Lucien Jones's new occupation is Traffic Incidents Statistical Officer.

I just received a video showing that this accident occurred today on the Edward Seaga Highway.

Do you have any information on this accident? Mark my words, if appropriate steps are not taken to deal with incidents on our roads, especially with tankers carrying fuel, then a catastrophe is waiting to happen. It has happened before.

The Governor General

People have been asking me about the state of the Governor General's health. I know that the Governor General had some health issues in the past. The challenge is that this Governor General is known by few Jamaicans.

If you should go on the street and ask a few people who the Governor General of Jamaica is, you will get a blank stare. Can we get an update on the Governor General, and can anyone say if he is on pre-retirement leave?

Bomb Threat

I just got a report that there was a bomb threat at a business place in Portmore called Centre Field. Are you aware of this incident? If you do, please send me information about this matter to (876) 816-5261.

Bomb threats should not be the way to deal with issues. If there are challenges at the workplace, then it is possible that you need union representation.

Downtown Nastiness Moves Uptown

Entrance of Emancipation Park

Oh no, this is not Barry or Princess Streets Downtown, Kingston, Jamaica. This is the front entrance to the Emancipation Park in New Kingston, which is the business district of the capital.

Give this a few more months, and uptown and downtown will be one nasty town.

It is amazing how we continue to argue about the Integrity Commission, getting rid of the UK Privy Council, and getting rid of the King as our Head of State, yet we cannot get rid of this nastiness!!!

Ship Them To Jamaica???
