Latty Guzang Says, "Do The Right Thing"

Latty Guzang music give you a nostalgic feeling because his music gives you an hint of the rocksteady era in Jamaica. Latty’s approach to life is a positive one and therefore his songs reflect that positive spirit of the man. His music is one which many in the diaspora will relate to very well and those in Jamaica will love it. 

Latty Guzang is from the parish of St. James, Jamaica, and he started his musical journey in 1972, while attending Cornwall College. He did his first song with Augustus Pablo called, ‘Ken-tones Rock’. Latty is now a very experienced artistes, and he has worked with various producers such as Lee Scratch Perry. 

In 1992, Latty who  lived in New Jersey then in the  USA, had his first major US hit called ‘Six For A Nine’, which reached  No.11 on The New York Top 20 Chart. After spending a total of eight weeks on the chart, it earned him a New Artist Of The Year nomination by The Tamika Reggae Awards. From this success, his debut album ‘Positive & Strong’ was released by RAS Records. This talented Jamaican artiste is now living in South Florida and he continues to produce positive and uplifting music for the Caribbean and the world. He is now affiliated with a group of artistes call ‘Artistes For Change’. Artistes for change now have a music channel with reggae music from Jamaica. Over the years he has produced releases like ‘Don’t Be No Kruff’ with legendary artiste Marcia Griffiths.
