Incarcerated Murderer Will Not Be Used In Covid-19 Inoculation Campaign!

Minister Christopher Tufton
Minister of Health and
Wellness
Minister Tufton and the Government of Jamaica will not be using a well known incarcerated  murderer, in any Covid-19 vaccine inoculation campaign. The Minister has just confirmed this to me a short while ago.

The story about using that artiste has been making the rounds on social media and it has created a major controversy. Those who are against it, feel that it would send a wrong message to the nation on the government's stand on crime and criminals. Others feel that although the artiste is a convicted person, his influence in the society is significant, therefore his involvement in the campaign would be positive. Others feel that the idea to use this artiste in the campaign to get persons inoculated against Covid-19, is part of the plan to secure his early release from prison by those who stand to benefit.

What is very clear now, is that the idea being floated about to use the artiste in the government's Covid-19 inoculation campaign, is not on the table.

Thanks to those who supported the campaign against the artiste being used. If he was used in the campaign, then that would a celebration day for all criminals in Jamaica. Let us encourage the Minister to continue the fight against covid-19, and let us all play our part in not only following the Covid-19 protocols but encouraging others to do so.
