Temperature Rising In The JCF Over JDF's Invasion

Elite Soldiers To Become Senior Cops?

Information gleaned from social media and other sources indicate that the water in the Jamaica Constabulary Force's pot is about to boil over - the temperature is rising rapidly. The tempers of  the rank and file members in the force is approaching a crescendo. There could be a face-off between the Commissioner of Police and the Police Federation over the appointment of ex-soldiers to senior ranks in the JCF. Some JCF members are claiming that this is a breach of the force policy. Some members of the JCF are contending that they are expected to take examinations and to go through certain procedures before being appointed to certain ranks in the JCF, yet these soldiers were hand picked and placed in senior ranks..

There could be some fireworks in the coming week.

I am not a fan of the Commissioner of Police but I support this effort to full the senior positions with ex military officers. The senior police officers have failed us.

Sorry to disappoint you but these are all sworn Police officers from the start. They were Police Constables, not JDF Officers.

They both have corrupt personnel in their forces, so, no better herring, no better barrel

Very misleading and divisive piece, because had you did your proper research you would have glean that these persons are members of the JCF,they were send on a special course, which see them receiving paramilitary training etc.

Blogger you are wrong this is a join course of both police and soldiers so don't go around spreading wrong news to let the society think of segregation between forces my junior is on that course and she's a police

The members are NOT Ex-Soldiers. They are ALL serving members of the JCF who were selected from a very transparent process to participate in a joint leadership course with members of the JDF and members from other police forces in the region. The police did exceptionally well on the course and at the end of the development programme they will be appointed to the Officer Training Rank of ASP.
The uniform worn is the Cadet Training Acacemy and all the members of the course had to wear that uniform for the graduation parade.
The JCF is transforming and part of the process is the development of future leaders so the JCF can have improved succession planning and transition.

It is amazing that some persons who have read this blog do not understand what has been written. They are into cussing. The only contributions some can make is to cuss. Those who read with understanding, know that reports are given to me and I comment on them. This is not a newspaper. Everything written in this blog is accurately reported. Note that the term accurately reported does not mean that the report is a fact, it means that I accurately report what has been reported to me. If you continue to read subsequent blogs you will see other responses. This blog encourages discussions and continues to get more information from those who respond. Those who waste time trying to tear down this blogger could spend some more valuable time doing something progressive. I don't make up stories I get reports and I bring them to the public's attention and I get responses from those who are in authority.

Very well done Vernon .This goes to show that not too many people searched for facts before flying off their mout or repost false information.

Many of these people hear running off their beaks seem to be bitter against the police but support these young constables being promoted to senior ranks passing other senior constables corporal sergeants and likewise inspectors who could've filled those said position. How can these police many of who have over 2 years services be placed on a secret course and they promoted to senior officers. Not a good look or feeling to other senior members of the force

I am concurring with you. You said it best. The JCF is the vanguard of corruption.
