Those who have a responsibility and the policy and legislative level to ensure that there is law and order in Jamaica have to start performing now. Those at the operational level must state clearly what is hindering them from dealing effectively with the high crime rate. If our policy makers fail to act then the people should ensure that they now pack their bags and go. If those at the operational level fail to perform after being given the tools then we might need to look at disbanding the police force. The time has probably come for us to put in place a modern police force ready to tackle crime using science, technology and the intelligent minds of its members.
By the way, now that we have mustered enough courage to have public demonstrations when two members of the Royal Family visited Jamaica recently, I hope that we are ready to have larger demonstrations against the level of crime and specifically murders in this county. I will watch and see and I will join the first one demonstration!

Things are looking dismal for us
The criminals have no reason to fear the government so they continue with their anarchy. The government needs to step up to them and stop joking around and acting as if they fear them. Criminals are not perplexed by recent utterances which is evident in their scant regard for the country's laws seen in the recent spate of bold criminal activities.
I've seen a lot of improvement in solving crime in this country. Technology is being used a whole lot in comparison to previous years and results are seen. No matter how much technology is used right that will not help much unless changes in the law is made to deter the criminals such as lethal injection or something else to end criminals life if found guilty. Outside the country would need a dictator

Resume hanging! Free up cell space. Fed up. This is madness. Being a criminal seems rewarding to the gunmen. Check it out: Some police tip them off or help them execute their terror and devastation or avoid attention and capture. Then if 'caught' - prison life nice. Cell phone, tv, conjugal visits, brand name clothes and cologne, home cooked meals, weed, liquor - life goes on, it is just the geography that has changed.
Bring back hanging and the people must demonstrate when gunmen killing people not only when police kill a man that they say is innocent.Am tried of it we killing off our own brothers and sisters and we are not at war .When they catch them send them go fight war and kill since they want to kill.It 😥
