The following message was sent to me by my listeners from Deeside in Trelawny:
Good morning Mr.Derby. The road you saw covered with water is Deeside. The people of the District decided a labour day work to clean the drain nearby and fixed the road themselves with broken stones and marl as early as 7 30 in the morning until very late in the evening along with the building of a new bus stop which the old one was broken down. These are scenes from the days activities .The Counselor Mr. Jonathon Bartley was in attendance as early as the men and women who were out .
The first ,the broken down bus stop ,next the building of the new one started to be completed coming days next the taxi π men along with a great amount ot ladies worked on the road from Deeside to a section of Wakefield. They felt so good it was a long day m They even started work on the field by the Community Center to prepare grounds for cricket football and basket ball.I. tell you the whole Deeside District was involved in some way working for the community. Wasn't that great.
Greetings & Congratulations to the good people in DeeSide.GOD bless their Excellent Community Spirit. That type of Community Good is what is needed ALL ACROSS BEAUTIFUL JAMAICA. BLESSINGS π

ReplyDeleteI am proud of the citizens in Deeside. If only other communities would take a leaf out of their book. I live in Portmore and just a few of us came out to clean up the park, mainly women. The big gray tone man them just past and look and when it's clean, them go sit down in it and smoke ganja.

ReplyDeleteI am from Deeside now living in Atlanta Ga. It was that way when we were boys in Deeside .My hope is that they will not just do it for one day but that will continue so that people will want to live there. They need to stop the gun shooting and violence in the country as well
