Minister Karl Samuda has admitted that the misleading information which he gave to the house of parliament yesterday, May 10, was based on advice given to him. To mislead parliament should be treated as a very serious matter and whoever misled the Minister should be held accountable.
This is Jamaica, so let us see if this will be another nine day wonder. It is great that the government and the workers at the NWC have come to an agreement but what do we say to those of us consumers who have gone through these two waterless days. It is clear that there is little respect for the consumers of this country.
When JPS has a power cut which lasts a long time we ask for a report. Somebody needs to give a report about this NWC national strike. NWC is an essential service. It seems as if the NWC workers run things. They lock the gates to the NWC compounds and either they or persons sympathetic them seemed to have locked off the water supply. Did they think of the hospitals with patients who needed water. Each man for himself!
What a country, what a life!

Those so called essential services workers did this unconscionable and uncaring act and, I bet there will be no sanctions. What did consumers do to themto deserve this?
I hope the person who supplied the information to Minister Samuda get sanctioned or dismissed from their post. This literally unforgivable because what gives this individual the right to mislead the Minister and by extension the entire country on such an important matter.

There are serious decisions to be made about our most vital assets.....who is the iniister of water .....what are our strategic decisions around the long term production and supply of this significant national....what's the role the jdf must play to secure same....

I am not sure we should believe that someone advice samuda, these politicians are willing to say any thing that comes to their mouth including lies for people to feel reassure that every thing is ok and they are doing work. very bad ,still dont get any water yet.
Kingston and St Catherine is not Jamaica.Who the hell cares whether the vast numbers of rural people have water.
People in Steerfield,St Ann and environs sometimes have no water for,weeks/ months.
Those harvesting water in drums,tanks,ponds,
rivers,rain and Badoo leaves NWC perhaps means
No Water Coming.
No water Coming in the Kingston quasi Colonial power is a state of emergency warranting the call out of the army.
If Lowe River Trelawny or York Mountain/Bethel Town in Westmoreland has no water for months it will not make news unless elections were coming up so the political aspirants will highlight it.
What does NWC mean for you in your community.You Nuh see nuttn yet wait till Dem sell NWC and you will know if "WATER IS LIFE" OR DEATH.
