Tonight June 10, 2022, TVJ carried a part of a discussion which took place on Beyond The Headlines on Radio Jamaica with Dionne Jackson-Miller. It was about the cancelation of the Festival Song Competition for 2022.
We blame the very creative people of this country for the cancellation of the Festival Song Competition and not those who are in charge. Those who have created this major national embarrassment- Who will pack their bags and GO!

Do you think the standards are too high nowadays? Could it be that our citizens have to have the voice of angel to be considered?
ReplyDeletePoor quality of songs for many years hence give assistance re writing etc. Remove from the hands of politics. Jamaica has a wealth of writers and performers so no excuse not to have a song this year.

ReplyDeleteCompilation of festival songs could be a good idea… find a way to have the peoples attention …but I believe it’s bull shit that you cannot find any sings too many talent in Jamaica…. Maybe they should say no one was interested in there down hill plan
