Thanks to all those who joined the call for us to have our Festival Song 2022 Competition. Your support has helped, and the Prime Minister heeded the call. Prime Minister Andrew Holness reversed the decision made by Minister Grange, to cancel the competition. Thank you Prime Minister.

Now, let bygones be bygones and let the celebration begin for our 60th year of independence. We must not only have celebrations, but as a nation, we should also set time for assessing our past, understanding our present and plan for the future.

I noticed that we have not been told who are the song writers. We see the names of the persons who will sing the songs but we need to know who the writers are. It is after all a song competition and not a singers competition.
