For the small district in Lime Tree in Trelawny which is about seven miles from Christiana in Manchester, it was a sad Christmas. One resident died and another is now in hospital fighting for his life resulting from a motor vehicle accident on Saturday, December 24. Life in this sleepy closely knit village has been disrupted by this tragedy.
I called the number (876) 855-1154 which is listed in the JCF online directory for the Wait-A-Bit Police Station and I got the response, "We are sorry but incoming calls to this number has been restricted. ID26". I called 991 in order to get the number for the station and I was transferred to Area 1 police. The person answering at the Area 1 office, said that the number for the Wait-A-Bit police station is (876) 617-9784.
I eventually got to the Wait-A-Bit police and I was told that they could not give out any any information at that level.

All the best for the season and please try to be safe, especially on the road. Remember also that Christmas is not only about the birth of Jesus Christ but also when the criminals come out like termites.

No longer the sleepy little district. Buzzing with commercial activity. Many no longer ride donkeys but drive cars and operate as taxi drivers ; some with limited knowledge of the road code or to properly operate a vehicle. In our days few that drove did so with caution and care. Today's drivers express and celebrate with speed. As for the police some stations could very well close. Who nuh gone a dance a kip dance. Hustlers they are and brain ded.

Why would that person have to be speeding? Bering hit by a car going 30 kmh is enough to kill you.
