WHERE DID HONESTY, TRUTH AND INTEGRITY GO IN TODAY'S JAMAICA?

Lois Grant

Reflecting on the values of honesty, integrity, and truthfulness that have guided me throughout life, I can't help but feel disheartened by the shift. It seems like these once-prized attributes are no longer as appreciated as they should be.

In this new dispensation, I have noticed that dishonesty and corruption have become more prevalent, rewarding those who deceive and exploit rather than those who strive to be genuine and sincere. It's disheartening to witness thieves and liars prospering while those with integrity and frankness face challenges.

So, how do we address this crisis? It starts with us, upholding our values and setting an example for others. Let us be beacons of honesty and integrity, showing that these qualities still hold immense value in our lives.

Let's not lose sight of the principles that shaped  OUR GENERATION   into better individuals. Together, we can make a difference, restoring faith in honesty and integrity, and building a society that values truthfulness above all else.

Today is no different. Media is just exposing what has been there. We might be even better today with all the safeguards and governance checks
