Vernon Derby - Consumer Advocate and Broadcaster |
The Bark Di Trute blog site can be regarded as the leading blog site in Jamaica - its impact is now international. The site continues on this successful journey to have more impact with over 900,000 views since 2022. The One Million mark is our objective. Please share our blog with people all over the world and help us to reach that objective.
- We got JAD3.5 million in scholarship funding for four UWI students in 2022.
- Assisted community groups in resolving their challenges by highlighting their challenges.
- Got support for persons with medical challenges.
- First reported the historic case of Jamaican Violet Edwards who obtained her degree at 96 years old. The Violet Edwards story was subsequently featured by the local and international press.
- Tradition media houses now carry reports highlighted on this blog.
- First highlighted certain information about MP Phillip Paulwell's missing child and the child's mother.
I use the blog effectively to deal with and resolve issues.
I also have links to other sites which you can access directly from Bark Di Trute.
Continue to support the Peoples' Blog. There is money power, political power, people power and other powers, but the greatest power is the people's power - they just need to be more united. Many people feel threatened by the people's power and some have tried to cut the power I get from the people, but with your support, I will continue to serve.
I started giving the people power when I hosted At Your Service at a radio station. I now have this powerful blog and the radio programme called SpotOn With Vernon Derby.
I thank my writers, members of the private sector and the public sector and you for your support.
