The above pictures show the lack of respect these Developers/Contractors have for citizens and the community.
They dig up the roads, destroy the original surface, destroy private projects that citizens use their personal funds to do, destroy walkways and gardens, and expect citizens to accept it.
In this instance, the MP was invited to see the mess created on Haining Road. He met with the developer who promised to rectify the damages within a week.
Rather than replacing the borders that they removed, the following day his contractor decided to replace the borders with cement and sand.
What utter disrespect? As can be seen, I was not having it so I used my tools and removed the rubbish that they did.

I am truly sick of this so called country
Every where where there is a major Housing development, road surfaces are left destroyed when completed. Even when re-surfacing is done, it fails to replace the original road as within a short time, potholes emerge, the surface erodes, the road sinks etc. Take a look at Paddington off Barbican Rd, as one example. Same thing occurs when Utility companies did up the roads, take Old Hope Rd, from UTECH down to about 150 m from the gate where cables it appears were laid and road re-surfaced long ago. Holes have appeared on the main road along the path of the repair So further laying of cables is happening now down to Liguanea, so the same result will obtain. Who is accountable to the damage left behind after they bag their millions? The poor residents entering these fancy developments on Paddington and those travelling the road have to navigate the untidiness, potholes, damaged roads left behind. This is shameful!

This is a failure of governance and government. This picture depicts a microscopic part of the problem. If the government fails at setting a tone with regard to expectations of our developers and do not hold them accountable on the big projects, can we seriously expect the small things to be done correctly?
I guess that question answers itself.
More importantly, it is disrespectful to the citizens that they swear or affirm to serve. A broken affirmation after faithful confirmation.
