The following report was received from a citizen:
NWC has been digging up the roads in the Shortwood road area for several months apparently to facilitate extension of the sewerage system. Two large (5 x 5 ft and 7×7 ft) holes were made on Nicks Avenue (off Acadia Drive) during this period which were at times partially filled with loose dirt resulting muddy craters next to the gates if residents at # 1 and #3 Nicks Avenue.
Eventually some time in the week of Nov 27 - Dec 1, patching was carried out on the roads in the affected Acadia area including filling of the twp holes on Nicks Avenue. Large piles of rubble including stones and pieces of asphalt were left on several sidewalks. Attention of the workmen was drawn to this issue as they were preparing to leave at dusk on Nov , with the work team indicatiing they were aware of the issue promising to return to complete including cleanup. Nearly three weeks later a large pile of rubble remains on the grassed bank of #3 Nicks Avenue. It is a total eyesore for the community and has prevented mowing of the lawn. We are requesting that the work team appointed by NWC return and rectify this problem by having the rubble removed immediately."

You need to see Upper Waterloo Road. It's awful! We're dealing with dust, mud and huge holes in the centre of the road.
