Lois Grant's DAY 2: TULUM’S MESMERISING COCO BONGO SHOW

ChagodTour invited Communication Consultant and Bark Di Trute Contributor Lois Grant to visit Cuba and then Mexico. Lois Grant was able to visit Mexico. This is Part II of an exciting story about Mexico. You certainly need to Click Here if you are interested in going on one of these tours to the various countries that ChagodTours can take you to.

Embarking on the second day of my Mexican sojourn, I found myself immersed in the pulsating heart of Tulum, experiencing a spectacle unlike any other—the famed Coco Bongo Show. Promised to be an unparalleled production, this five-hour extravaganza of dancing and nonstop Latin American music was nothing short of mesmerising.

Seated amidst a sea of beautiful women and handsome young men, I couldn't help but reflect on the remarkable journey of my life. With few regrets and challenges conquered, a lingering desire to speak fluent Spanish stood out—a dream momentarily deferred by the unforeseen events of 2020, the year of the infamous pandemic.

ChagodTour Jamaica, however, rekindled the flame of interest, showcasing its prowess in curating experiences that cater to various budgets. The promise of an unforgettable evening unfolded on day two as our group ventured to Playa del Carmen for what locals touted as the 'Best show in town'—the Coco Bongo Show.

While the younger crowd shimmered in glitzy, modern ensembles, I opted for a deliberately militant look, sporting my Che Guevara hat from Cuba. Eager to gauge the pulse of these youth, I wondered if they were aware or cared about the revolution. The response was mixed, with only one influencer, slightly older than the rest, acknowledging my hat and delving briefly into the historical complexities of Fidel and Che's relationship.

As the clock struck 10:00 pm, the venue buzzed with excitement, a diverse crowd ranging from seniors to the youth, all ready to be captivated by the Latino rhythm. Words fail me to describe the electric atmosphere—the synergy of music, movement, and youthful vibrant energy. Rather than attempting to capture the indescribable, I invite you to witness the magic through the lens of pictures and videos—a visual journey that transcends a thousand words. Enjoy the spectacle, and let the allure of Tulum beckon you to join the rhythm of life!

    1. Based on how a certain Minister is so "glib" about Jamaica, I could never imagine that these exotic places and "scenery" exist. Are their beaches open to their own citizens?
