The people were more concerned about DPP Paula Llewellyn and the authorities allowing her to retire at age 65. They are more interested in matters such as the Vybz Kartel case. Yes we love the gossip and the suss.
Some are calling for the DPP to go. I know many criminals and a few lawyers who don't like her and they want to see the back of the DPP. I would not be surprised if many in the political arena want her out of the way. Since some are saying, "Time for the DPP to go", who is calling for some politicians to retire? Some politicians could be the DPP's grandfather/grandmother! Who agrees the DPP should have the same pension arrangement as former Prime Ministers? I believe that a jackass looked at our constitution and laws and said, "Da worl' no level".
The DPP is one of the toughest persons in a leading position in the country. She has carried out her job fearlessly and showed that she is a servant of the people. She is always willing to use the media to explain to the people what her office is doing. A Paula Llewellyn is hard to find in Jamaica.
Paula Llewellyn reminds me of Eugenia Charles - former Prime Minister of Dominica and Portia Simpson-Miller - Former Prime Minister of Jamaica.
Many have accused her of not winning enough cases. Her job is to see that justice is served, and not to fight to put people in jail. Some say that she made a bad decision in the Vybz Karte case. That can not be, because she was a prosecutor in the case and not a judge.
Tribal War in Schools

It is a tribal war eena Babylon's schools and the nation is not interested in that. I would not be surprised if many schools are renamed by their students - names such as Gaza, Hamas, and Hezbollah for example. This week the fights continued in our schools. Students no longer fight to get a good education, they fight over gal. One youngster lost his life at Irvin High School this week and the nation did not even blink an eye to look at what is happening in our schools.
The Ministry of Education and Youth must take charge of our schools now. We are joking. Pickney cannot be allowed to run the schools. The administration and the staff are the ones who run things!
War in the Middle East
It is weekly excitement in Jamaica but we must remember that there is a war in the Middle East and problems close to us in Haiti. Right here at home, many old people are on the streets or at home without food. We must talk about these high-level constitutional and other matters but not at the expense of other issues affecting our people.
