JPS Expresses Sympathy for Injured Fire Fighters and Again Calls for an end to Lawlessness

 

The following is a Press Release From The JPS, April 16, 2024:

(Kingston, April 16, 2024)  JPS has expressed sorrow at the reported electrocution of fire fighters, which took place in Greenwich Town in the early hours of the morning on Tuesday April 16.  This is believed to be due to contact with illegal connections.

This persistent lawlessness in our country is unacceptable and we must all work together to put an end to it.  It requires a collaborative approach by national stakeholders and renewed emphasis on enforcement of the legal framework. We are deeply saddened that our dedicated first responders have had to encounter illegal activity in this manner.  The Company will carry out an investigation into the reported incident.
