Student War Eena Halfway Tree Involving Many Schools!

The war!

Taxpayers continue to complain that roads should be fixed and that improved water supply is needed, yet billions are being spent on our youths and a significant amount of our funds are being wasted. I keep repeating on the blog that we must take charge of our homes, schools, communities and country.

Jamaica is a poor country, and we cannot afford to waste funds on students interested in developing their criminal skills rather than being socialized to become good citizens. Many old people have contributed and they need support. Many potholes need to be fixed. More water tanks are required especially in rural communities.

Are we getting value for our tax dollars being spent on all students? I have been calling for a National Student Demerit and Merit system for our students. We also need a socialization programme for them. I lead a very successful socialization programme for young people in Jamaica. I am willing to work with the Ministry of Education and Youth to have a National Socialization programme for all youngsters.

We spend thousands of dollars contributing to a child's education for 11 years and after eleven years that child can not write a good sentence or has not acquired a skill. That child has poor emotional skills and is ready to enter the criminal world and become a World Boss!

If we cannot manage the students in our schools, then we will never be able to manage crime.

Students who assault their teachers and other students must be criminally charged for the crime. During that time we must also rehabilitate them. If they can not be rehabilitated then send them to a medical facility or give them a life sentence at hard labour.

There should be a new National Code of Conduct for all students. Failure to comply with the National Code of Conduct, a youngster should get counselling first, followed by removal from the current school or expulsion from all schools.  Expelled students should be placed in institutions specially built for difficult children. A schoolroom is not a place for young criminals. Teachers are not trained police officers and prison warders.

The Minister of Education must act now. School Boards need to manage their schools, and Principals need to lead. We cannot allow pickney fi a run school and waste taxpayers' money! Students have caused one school to close today and tomorrow. They might one day close down the whole country!

  2. We will continue along this path until the governments realise that strong and swift discipline is required. Corporal punishment (including the death penalty) will help to resolve indiciplibe in the society. If necessary use the police and military to administer floggings in schools.

  4. They need to sent them to go and plant up the land and give them over to the state. Let them paint up old Buildings and help to beautify the communities and public areas. Instead of dismissing the Golden rules of the Land. What is the plan minister of Education. How can we eradicate violence from out of our School's. Take actions now. Else it will get worse. We do Not have enough Nurse much less the purse. Are we curse?

  6. We are allowing thugs to take over Jamaica and we are creating more. The vast majority of thugs would stop the madness if quick and strong punishment was administered.

  7. Students who are caught/seen fighting should be taken to the police station and held overnight, since they don't want to go to school to learn. Too much idleness. They should find an extracurricular activity to occupy their time. If it is unconstitutional to lock them up, on the same street or location they were fighting they should clean it
