The Hon. Tom Tavares-Finson will be my guest on Be My Guest during SpotOn With Vernon Derby on Thursday, May 9, 2024, on KLAS FM. The programme is aired from 1000 to 1100 EST. Mr Tavares-Finson is the President of the Senate. He will spend some time with me on air explaining the role of the Presidents of the upper and lower house and the Clerks of the House.
Recently there have been questions about the right of the Speaker to write a letter to the Clerk of the House. People were sure that the Clerks were civil servants. Some people asked, can the Speaker of the House give direction to the Clerks?
It will be a great opportunity to learn about the roles of our leaders.
