Breaking News - Jamaican Actor Dies!

Ronald Goshop

Ronald Goshop one of Jamaican's well-known actors has passed on. He has appeared in many stage productions and is best known for his role in Royal Palm Estate aired on CVM television on Sundays.

Dorothy Cunningham a leading Jamaica actress in response to Goshop's death made the following comments:

Ronald appeared in the play Don't Wake The Baby, directed by the late Norman Rae. For his portrayal of the ex-criminal Puss Fur, he received a JCDC Drama Festival Award. 

His stage career spanned decades and rose to its height when he erupted onto television screens as the beloved, wily character Mackie in Royal Palm Estate.

During his career he always brought his own particular interpretation to his characters, giving them life and relativism. 

In losing Goshop the theatrical community has not only lost a great talent but also a great man with a compassionate heart.

We will definitely miss him. Lights out! Fade to black.  Graceful exit RONAL GOSHOP. RIP dear friend.
