Julian Alfred - St Lucian Athlete |
St. Lucia got its first medal in the Olympics today as their daughter of the soil Julian Alfred stormed ahead of her colleagues to take the Gold for the 100-metre race for women. USA athletes Sha'Carri Richardson and Mellisa Jefferson came in second and third respectively.
Julian was born in the south Castries community of Ciceron and attended Leon Hess Comprehensive Secondary School in Saint Lucia (2013–15), and St. Catherine High School in Jamaica (2015-2018). She then pursued a bachelor's degree in Youth & Community Studies at the University of Texas in the United States, combining academic studies and athletics.
I am contacting her relatives in St. Lucia to get more information which I will share with you.
