Minister of State in the Ministry of Education and Youth, the Honourable, Marsha Smith, has resigned as Member of Parliament for the constituency of St Ann North East with immediate effect.
Marsha Smith was elected to represent the constituency of St Ann North East in September 2020.
Prime Minister Andrew Holness thanks Minister Marsha Smith for her service in representational politics.

Marsha is no loss to JLP she is as dumb as they come.She is mad because she was not offered a "post" that will become vacant.
She has just given up her position, so that Dr. Clarke's replacement can be accommodated. Aahh, politics!
The question should be ask, how was her performance and if she was not performing? Then I can understand. However; if she was doing what she was called to do. Then it would beg the question. Why this hasty retreat? We really need some serious answers for this one.
