Did Someone Drown at The River Baptismal Service?

The police force has improved significantly over the past ten years, but sometimes I come across some officers whose attitude and behaviour are unbecoming of police officers. I called the Spanish Town police station at about 2124 EST on September 20, 2024. First, I identified myself but the officer answering the phone did not identify himself. He did not even say goodnight. I told him about a video of a baptism that took place at a river in St. Catherine, and I heard subsequently that someone who was involved in the baptism had drowned.
,
Before I could finish my sentence, the officer told me he had no such report and could not give any information about the matter. He added that he did not even know me. I told him that the first thing I did was to say my name.

I told him he should listen to me first, before interrupting me. He bluntly told me that he is a man and I am a man and I cannot teach him. I realized that this was a hopeless situation. I told him good night and ended the call.

My concern is that since the officer was not aware of this baptism and I was getting information that someone involved in the baptism had died, this could be a serious matter.

I am still in the dark and I hope another officer reading this or anyone else can give me information about this incident, which allegedly happened in St. Catherine. While writing this post, a retired police sent me a similar video, she received from someone in Miami. I recall I first heard of the Cherry Tree Lane massacre in Clarendon from the USA!

I did not get to tell the police what I knew/heard.

That's really unprofessional of him to be interacting with the public like that. You probably interrupted his binge watching of some channel or social media site.
I have contacted the police on a number of occasions regarding missing persons. Yes, they sometimes don't know of the person being missing. They are normally cooperative over the phone though and willing to give information.
Spanish Town Police Station is a case. I have been there and they try to intimidate and frighten people. They act almost threateningly.
I pray the individual didn't actually down. So unfortunate.

His response was so unprofessional and uncouth, glad he doesn't represent the majority of the officers.

Sir Derby I'm glad that a man of your status experience what regular people that has nothing before or behind their names experience most times with these officers, most of them are full of pride boastful and egotistical, and it's the hardest thing to get their names and they're serving the public,
But pertaining to the drowing, my sister and I was discussing it lastnight and she said she heard no one has died , and. She got that video from overseas as well, I've realized along time now that the news reaches overseas first all the times, I don't know why.

Send the video and your above concern to the Commissioner of Police. Complaining to each other will not change anything

I am a retired police officer and my worst experience with the police since I retired took place at the Spanish Town Station.

One comment mentioned that the information should be sent to the Commissioner of Police rather than just complaining to one another. It is clear that the person is unfamiliar with Bark Di Trute blog. Blogs are used to inform citizens about what is happening, and I use it as part of my lobbying strategy. This blog gets over 50,000 views each month and this is stated at the bottom of each blog. Blogs are sent to our national leaders and that include the PM, Leader of the Opposition, and the Commissioner of Police. This blogger not only writes but is in touch with various agencies.
