What's Happening - December 22, 2024

MP Delroy Chuck can drop two-foot man. He was certainly having a wonderful time with the elderly members of his constituency. It is good to see politicians recognise and put on treats for the elderly. This was at the MP's Christmas party on Sunday, December 15. Over 600 persons over 65 years old attended and were treated to a three-course meal and presented with a gift package.

Browns Town in St. Ann Has Been Carpeted

Good afternoon Mr Derby.

I went to Browns Town St Ann this week and was very satisfied to have driven on a freshly paved road.

No pot holes in sight. It just needs the white separation line now.  Good job Mr Vaz and team.

I hope a proper run-off system is in place otherwise it will be a waste of our money.

Another Murder—In Westmoreland

The Jamaica Gleaner is reporting this afternoon that a Burmese doctor was found with his throat slashed. Dr. Aung Naing has been murdered at his home in Savana-la-Mar. What the hell is happening? This thing is getting worse. These murderers don't care. This nation has to make them care and make them feel it. Find them, arrest them, convict them and remove them from society.

Do We Respect the Mayor and the KSAMC?

The people seem to have no respect for law and order. Vendors have taken over Halfway Tree, and I gather some of them said that the KSAMC cannot do anything about it. Goods are now being displayed on the sidewalk and also on the street. Mayor Swaby, you know that the people support your move to clean up the city. Please show them that you mJAD60ean business.

We could start with issuing tickets for vending in undesignated places, and one has to pay JAD50,000 for each breach. There is no need to even seize their goods. We could also start issuing tickets for dumping garbage in undesignated places. That find would be JAD30,000. Failure to pay the fine would mean one would have to clean one area for at least a month. A second offence should incur JAD100,000 for vending in undesignated areas and JAD60,000 for placing garbage in an undesignated place.

We can make Kingston and the rest of the country clean as a whistle in three months.

  3. How were the elderly chosen for MP Chuck's party? Some of us were unaware, and we are active in his constituency. Thanks for informing us, Vernon. And thanks for the great work you are doing. All the best for the season.
