Have an amnesty to remove as many illegal guns from our communities as possible.
ReplyDeleteMake it a treasonable act/crime to own or use an illegal firearm. This law is to be enforced whether rich or poor, friends in high places or not!
Jamaicans are sick and tired of the crime, violence and indiscipline. We need to see evidence of political will by both political parties!!
wi tiad a lip service, wi tiad a d endless corruption, greed an $$$ grabbing, wi tiad a empty promises, wi tiad a d dutty city an countryside, wi tiad fi a wuk so hard an nuh hav nuttn fi show fi it!!! D system naa wuk fi wi an wi tiad a it!!!
Show me please, something that’s working for us all!!
Jamaica is a great and beautiful place, our people are Fantastic! WE CAN DO BETTER & WE MUST DO BETTER!!
If you have an amnesty, then you would be under the belief that the criminals want to give up their guns. The gun is power in their hands, and they will not give up that power. If you take away all the guns from the criminals, more guns will flow into the island soon after. As Mics says, we need to lock down the criminal factor, which is very productive and profitable.
DeleteThe message is clear "tan a yuh yaad crime is down but murder going up".
ReplyDeleteIf not you may be on your way to meet your judge and perhaps your maker if your soul is right with your God your judge.
One advice is that if an individual who dies because of some criminal dispute or is connected to criminals or criminality directly or indirectly stay away.
I mean even parents, cousins, grandma or grandpa, known or unknown associates in any way stay at a distance or leave the area.
One wonders if the criminals are doing DNA tests so watch out. Funerals, work places and Church services are now ligitimate targets.
The Crime industry in Jamaica is only rivalled by Tourism and remittances.
The buzz word for growing the crime industry(CI) is Fighting Crime.Take a glance at the CI:
13,000 JCF members,5000 Lawyers,6000 JDF,40,000 security guards,11 prison facilities 7 for adults 3 for juveniles and one for remand.
It costs appr US$10,000 per annum to keep a prisoner.Talk about all the cars guns, clothing, food, drones, medical care Ministries of National security and justice.Life sentence reward is now 50 years.
The Jamaican taxpayer is now sentenced to fork out $80 million Ja$ per person in those Prishotels for murder.
Wouldn't It makes more cost effective effective sense to execute all guilty murderers and child rapists for a start.
The Jamaican people have not been hearing any holistic analyses on how to curtail the growth of the Crime Industry even from our universities or associated intellectual ghettoes.
Now about 27% of GDP estimated at about US$33 billion
The CI is more than Agriculture mining, quarrying etc is an absolutely disgraceful and decadent state of affairs in one of the most murderous, uncivilized and illiterate environments on the planet.
The people not only the politicians must wake up consult themselves and take action starting with self an our immediate environment.
No longer should it be that most of us Jamaicans are criminals that has to change.A crime is any behaviour that attracts a fine or imprisonment
Do you recall a parson was shot and killed while delivering a sermon in a community called Land Lease in the Papine Police Division.
The gunman went inside the church pointed the gun at the pastor pulled the trigger the gun stuck.
In the midst of hallelujah and praise the lord chants the gunman went outside fixed the gun then returned to finish the job, pastor shot dead.
At the time the pastor was an alleged relative of "Dawg Paw".
Two previous comments are on point. Nuff said
ReplyDeleteThr youths who are slinging these guns don't have the capability of importing them, they're just like lamb to the slaughter to those who have, and who ate they? And when we do can we touch them đŸ¤”sometimes I wonder if this gun thing is a trap to get rid of our youths, is someone taking pleasure out of seeing them crammed together in those prison cells or seeing their marrow plastered on the ground.
