Dr. Carby Calls For Separation of Hurricane Garbage

Dr. Babara Gordon

Dr Barbara Carby, former head of ODPEM, who has held other positions related to disaster preparedness in the Caribbean, continues to share information about how to deal with disasters. We know that agencies are under pressure at this time, but these agencies have to do what they have to do.

In the meantime, people who need healthcare and garbage to be collected have to bear in mind that the challenges did not come and go with Melissa. We have to exercise some patience.

Dr. Carby is concerned about the amount of garbage being collected at this time and how we are disposing of it. Click on the icon below and listen to Dr Barbara Carby.

Householders could also practice what Dr Carby has stated. The practice of creating compost at this time for your homegrown food garden is very important. The food basket parishes will be empty for some time.
